What this project is all about
With My Life Cards, we’re creating a set of cards that young people and youth workers can use together to talk about real-life stuff. Each card will focus on a different part of life and help spark conversations about feelings, experiences, strengths, and choices.
Each card will have:
- A photo on one side
- A word on the other
There will be at least 42 cards in the deck. As the project develops, we’re working closely with young people to make sure the cards reflect what you actually need and how you’d want to use them.
What we’re asking you to capture
We’re inviting young people and young adults under 25 to submit photographs that could be used on the cards.
You can submit as many photos as you like, as long as they fit one or more of the categories below. Please only upload photos you really think work for the project.
All submitted photographs must be in portrait orientation (vertical format). Landscape-oriented images will not be accepted.
We’re looking for images that:
- Clearly fit one of the categories below
- Are easy to understand at a quick glance
- Are good enough quality to be printed on cards
The categories:
- Health & Wellbeing
Things like physical or mental health, sleep, food, coping with emotions, happiness, stress, or worries. - Relationships & Connections
Things like family, friends, teachers, trusted adults, or feeling supported. - Life Challenges
Things like safety, substance use, sexual health, crime or offending, or big worries. - Daily Life & Identity
Things like school, work, hobbies, interests, free time, or figuring out who you are. - Growth & Resilience
Things like strength, overcoming tough times, finding joy, creativity, or expressing yourself.
How to enter the photo competition
If you’ve got a camera, a phone, and a point of view — we’d love to see the world through your lens. Your images could help someone feel seen, understood, or less alone.
The details:
- The competition opens on 16th March 2026
- The competition closes on 24th April 2026
